Kathy LaeschAuxiliary members eating lunch on porchSue Townsend greets her guestsJoan Lyday with tote bag from Marshalls

We had a great turnout last Friday at the first Day Nursery Auxiliary meeting of the fall. The meeting was held September 9 at the home of Sue Townsend on Indy’s northwest side.  Co-Presidents Bernice Hopp and Kathy Wall did a great job in putting together the salad pitch-in and close to 30 members turned out with delicious foods to contribute to the midday feast.  The majority fo the business portion of the meeting revolved around plans for our October 7th Style Show and Luncheon at Oak Hill Mansion.  Event chair Kathy Laesch shared information about the lineup of celebrity “role models” who have committed their time to our event including Susan Guilkey Beckwith (Miss Indiana 2005), Winnie Ballard (First Lady of Indianapolis), Karen Pence (wife of Congressman Mike Pence) and Alpha Blackburn (fashion designer and CEO of Blackburn Architects).  Jenny Rosebrock who is heading up the raffle sharing information about each of the three prizes that ticket buyers can choose to try to win.  Past President Joan Lyday was happy to show the tote bags which will serve as the favor for our guests.  The bags, donated by Marshalls, are decorated with shoes and purses which fits perfectly into our theme. The deadline for ordering tickets is September 23.  Reservations can be mailed to the Association office at 615 N. Alabama Street #300 Indianapolis IN 46204 or you can reserve your seat on-line by following this link.
